Organic Signature Cocktails: Longhorn Lemonade

It’s cocktail time at {green weddings}! Today, we’re featuring Republic Tequila, an organically-produced tequila company based in Texas. The distillery has a patented system that recycles production waste and turns it into fertilizer! The three types of tequila, Plata, Anejo and Reposado, are all USDA certified organic.

The company’s YouTube video series shares great cocktails that you can use for your reception. Today, we’re featuring the Longhorn Lemonade. Chance, from the video, may prefer to drink this at a tailgate, but we think it’s a great idea for a summer wedding signature cocktail!

Longhorn Lemonade

  • 1 1/2 oz. RepublicTequila
  • Fresh Mint
  • fresh lemon wedges
  • 3 oz. light beer
  • 3 oz. Organic Lemonade

Add tequila, beer and lemonade to a highball glass filled with ice. Squeeze lemon juice from the wedge and garnish with mint leaves.
